Job Title: Accountant
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant with Human Resources experience to our team join. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and a strong understanding of VAT regulations. Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Additionally, having experience in Human Resources is a plus. The candidate must hold a valid visa to work in Bahrain.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations
- Handle payroll processing, employee benefits, and maintain personnel records
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes
- Support HR-related activities such as performance management, training, and employee relations
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support decision-making processes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant Proficiency in
- Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (verbal and written)
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience in Human Resources, including payroll processing and employee relations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and HR-related tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid visa to work in Bahrain
