Job Summary: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external auditors, assist with tax filings, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reports, and other financial doents.
2.Transaction Management: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, process invoices, and ensure timely payments and collections.
3.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, monitor variances, and provide analysis of financial performance.
4.Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
5.Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, provide necessary doentation and explanations.
6.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, interpret trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.
7.Taxation: Assist in tax computations, filings, and compliance with tax regulations.
8.Systems and Controls: Create, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures, and financial controls.
9.Financial Planning: Support strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.
10.Costing: Prepare, compute, and monitor the cost per project
11.Payroll: Prepare the monthly payroll
12.Recording: Record and post financial transactions in the system
13.Purchasing: Assist in purchasing office supplies
14.Contract Management: Manage and monitor all the contracts or projects per department and report any issues to the Management
15.Tender Doentation: Assist the team in preparing and monitoring tender doents
16.Guarantee Process: Prepare and monitor project Guarantee
17.Doentation: Maintain folders for all the doents of every projects
Qualifications and Requirements:
1.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2.Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles in Qatar. Experience in a similar industry or construction.
3.Skills:
oStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
oProficiency in accounting software
oExcellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
oAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
oStrong organizational and time-management skills.
oProblem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
oFamiliarity with Qatar's regulatory and taxation environment is a plus.
4.Language: Proficiency in English is required.
