Job Summary:
The Marine Services Staff member will be responsible for various administrative and operational tasks within the marine services department. This role encompasses the positions of Accountant, Purchaser, Clerk, and Crewing Officer, each requiring specific skills and responsibilities. Candidates should have relevant experience in marine services or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountant:
Manage financial records and transactions related to marine operations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Purchaser:
Source and purchase marine supplies, equipment, and services.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement processes.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and expenditures.
Clerk:
Maintain organized records and doentation for marine operations.
Assist in data entry, filing, and office management tasks.
Support communication between departments and staff.
Handle correspondence and respond to inquiries promptly.
Crewing Officer:
Oversee crew recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding processes.
Maintain crew records and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
Coordinate crew training and development programs.
Address crew-related issues and facilitate communication.
Qualifications:
Degree or certifications relevant to the specific role preferred.
Minimum of 2 year's experience in marine services or related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (accounting software, MS Office).
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of marine industry regulations is a plus.
