Job Description

Qualification requirements—technical and soft skills:
•Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or any other Food related or relevant discipline.
•At least 3 year of relevant industrial experience in food industry with a focus on flavor applicati products.
•Candidate should have expertise to develop product recipes for beverages, dairy, and bakery products with a core focus on evaluating the flavors and making them stand out in the application.
•Good knowledge of regional food and beverage regulations.
•Networking skills / relationship management
•Good knowledge of food ingredients, including:
•Raw material knowledge, especially hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, proteins, flavours, etc.
•Product development (incl. formulation)
•Flavours processing parameters
•Understanding of commercial factors that affect product cost and selling price
•Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and good fluency in English are required. Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
•Good familiarity with the Microsoft suite apart from Application related IT System or Application.
•Logical, methodical, analytical thought process capable with accuracy and high attention to details.
•Proactive and self-motivation, ability to engage across levels.
•Strong project management skills, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.
•Agility to adapt.
•Technical problem-solving skills.
•Planning, time management, organisational skills and influencing skills.
•Commitment to all company’s policies, rules and regulations and ROBERTET quality and continuous improvement programs.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Supporting the sales team with both proactive and reactive proposals to drive regional sales growth.
•Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
•Conducting technical projects with minimal supervision and addressing any tasks assigned.
•Running sensory tests (e.g., triangle, preference, duo-trio) for all submissions and providing feedback to flavourists for modifications.
•Profiling market products to guide flavourists and evaluators in choosing suitable profiles for projects and markets.
•Managing sample preparation and distribution for internal and external customers.
•Assisting customers with flavour trials and offering recipe or formulation suggestions to meet their needs.
•Overseeing laboratory supplies and maintaining the flavour library.
•Keeping the central R&D team informed about regional regulations.
•Contributing to newsletters and participating in events like Gulfood to explore new opportunities.
