As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. You will operate cash registers, handle payments, and assist customers with inquiries or concerns. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they approach the checkout area and assist them with their purchases.
Scan items and enter prices accurately into the cash register or POS system.
Accept various forms of payment, including cash, cred cards, and mobile payments.
Count cash in the drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
Provide change to customers and process refunds or exchanges as needed.
Answer customer inquiries and address any concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking merchandise and tidying displays.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and security measures.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service throughout the store.
Upsell additional products or services to customers when appropriate.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred.
Strong numerical and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Friendly and courteous demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
