Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
with a strong background in sports management, particularly in the field of cricket.
This position will entail not only financial management but also overall management
and control functions within the organization, reporting directly to the CEO. As the
CFO, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing management
strategies while ensuring financial stability and growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive management strategies in alignment with the
organization's overall goals and objectives.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to
ensure accurate financial information and timely analysis.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide
recommendations for improving profitability, cost efficiency, and cash flow
management.
Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to
safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement long-term financial
and operational strategies, including capital allocation, investment decisions, and
risk management.
Provide financial and operational insights and analysis to support strategic
decision-making, new business initiatives, and investment opportunities in the
cricket industry.
Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and
sponsorships, assessing financial and operational risks and opportunities.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and external
stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and financial transparency.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including income
statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial analyses, to
the executive team and board of directors.
Monitor and assess financial and operational performance against industry
benchmarks and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing
corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends in
sports management and cricket to ensure compliance and maximize financial and
operational performance.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and
professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
A master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles,
with a focus on financial and operational management in the sports industry,
preferably in cricket.
Strong understanding of the cricket industry, including knowledge of cricket
leagues, tournaments, revenue models, and financial and operational dynamics.
Proven track record of financial and operational leadership and successfully driving
performance and growth.
Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis,
and operational management.
In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulations, and reporting
standards.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial
and operational data and provide insights for decision-making.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of
successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively
collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
High ethical standards and integrity in financial and operational management,
ensuring compliance and transparency.
