Job Description

1.1.      Ensure that statutory health and safety regulations are observed at all times and that safety on site is maintained at high standard.
 
1.2.      Implement and monitor project schedule and determine corrective actions if required to ensure schedule is maintained
 
1.3.      Ensure adequate cost control for the project budgets
 
1.4.      Report to Contracts Manager regarding Cost and schedule
 
1.5.      Ensure all variations to project scope are recorded and agreed with client
 
1.6.      Contribute in pre-qualifying, capability assessment, technical review of materials and contributing in selecting subcontractors.
 
1.7.      Arrange and coordinate with Procurement for delivery , expediting and control of all required materials, equipment and services, including those supplied by the client and Site Stores.
 
1.8.      Chair and Hold Weekly Site Progress Meeting to review project Status, including Subcontractors
 
1.9.      Coordinate Subcontractors Kick – off meeting prior to commencement of work by Subcontractors on site, using the subcontractors Kick-off meeting agenda. Ensuring that all required documents, program / schedule are submitted on time.   
 
1.10.   Prepare a monthly payment claims and Final Payment Claims and submit to Contracts Manager for review.
 
1.11.   Have the overall responsibility for the implementation of Project Health & Safety Plan, to ensure safety procedures are implemented and complied by all site personnel, and maintain good house keeping on the Project Site.
 
1.12.   Prepare weekly / monthly Progress Reports and submit to the Client / Consultant as per contract requirements.
 
1.13.   Ensure that all plant / equipment used on site is maintained in good order to prevent failures, operates in a safe manner to avoid delays in the work progress, and protect against injury to personnel. 
 
1.14.   Ensure compliance with Company standard procedures relating to project Administration, in terms of Time Keeping, Labour and asset transfer, petty cash handing, materials received vouchers, etc.
