MBC Group is the largest satellite TV, Radio and Digital Media network in the Middle East based in Dubai Media City. MBC is looking for a motivated and results oriented colleague with an agile and collaborative mindset to join our Data Governance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help driving the Data Governance program within the company. You will work closely with business and functional areas on the topics of Data Stewardship, Data Standards and Policies, Data Protection and Meta Data Management to support the strategic requirements of the department and the company.
Job Objective:
Your broad responsibilities will include:
· Data Standards and Policies
o Develop and enforce data standards to improve data migration and exchange across the enterprise
o Work on data related policies to ensure the proper handling and managing of data throughout the company
· Data Protection and Compliance
o Support the departments roadmap to transform MBC into a company which is compliant to the recent Data Protection regulations e.g. GDPR
· Data Stewardship
o Support the implementation of the Data Stewardship model in order to establish accountability for data
o Establishing and moderating a Data Owner and Data Steward committee
· Meta Data
o Ensure integrity of all information like titles, synopses, age rating etc. in the current databases.
o Coordinate with suppliers and colleagues the delivery of mandatory meta data and ensure the most efficient workflows are in place across all divisions
o Constant review of best practice and fulfillment of new requirements as technology and services develop
· Project and New Initiatives
o Actively participate in strategic and tactical initiatives in order to ensure that data requirements are considered in projects
