ELV Project Engineer (4–5 Years Experience)
The ELV Project Engineer is responsible for supervising and delivering ELV projects in accordance with designs, standards, and client requirements. The role includes site supervision, technical coordination, material management, testing & commissioning, and ensuring compliance with SIRA, Civil Defense, and Etisal standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Execution & Supervision
Oversee installation of CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, SMA, Structured Cabling, Gate Barriers, Audio Visual, and related systems.
Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, and authority guidelines.
Supervise technicians, subcontractors, and daily site activities.
• Technical Coordination
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients for approvals and technical clarifications.
Conduct site meetings to review progress and resolve technical issues.
• Material & Vendor Management
Prepare material requests, verify BOQs, and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
Inspect delivered materials for compliance with project specs.
• Doentation & Compliance
Prepare submittals, method statements, MI, and progress reports.
Maintain updated drawings, redlines, and As-Built doents.
• Testing, Commissioning & Handover
Perform system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Coordinate inspections, conduct client training, and prepare handover packages.
• Project Management
Monitor schedules, manpower plans, and quali adherence.
Highlight risks, delays, and manage NCRs and snag closures.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Installation and commissioning experience in CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion Alarm, Gate Barrier, SMA, PABX, Networking & Fiber Optics.
Ability to read drawings and prepare As-Builts.
Basic networking knowledge (IP, VLANs, switches, NVRs).
Familiarity with brands: Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Suprema, HID, Cisco, Aruba, etc.
Software Skills
AutoCAD (basic/moderate)
MS Office (Excel, Word, Project)
Soft Skills
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electric.
4–5 years of UAE experience in ELV project execution.
Knowledge of SIRA, Civil Defense, Etisalat / DU standards.
UAE Driving License is an advantage.
