Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations
Monitor personnel and work space
Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate doent
Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials and supplies
Track the number of incidents and produce reports
Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals
Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations
Attend semina for further education
Work with legislators and politicians to support key local legislation
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
4+ years of experience in an environmental health and safety position
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices and regulations
Knowledge of industrial hygiene and safety procedures, laws and regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and doents
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
