Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests;
Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors;
Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools;
Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests;
Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products;
Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects;
Prepare job take offs.
Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to negotiate effectively;
Knowledge of bidding software;
Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize work assignments;
Ability to develop budgets and time lines;
Multi-tasker and Organized;
Great customer service and a team attitude;
Attention to detail an asset;
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HVAC estimating;
Works well on own or in a team environment;
Self-starter with strong work ethic;
Knowledgeable in building and construction.
