Financial Controller – Dubai Office

1. Purpose of the Role
The Financial Controller will be responsible for leading and managing all financial operations of Group Companies / UAE entity, ensuring proper financial reporting, cost control, compliance with local regulations, and alignment with the Group’s financial strategy. This role will serve as the main link between the UAE operations and the Head Office in the UAE for financial consolidation, reporting, and performance monitoring.
2. Scope of Work
The Financial Controller’s scope covers all financial management, planning, and control functions for the Dubai operations, including but not limited to.
A. Financial Management & Reporting
· Oversee daily accounting and finance operations ,, GL, payroll, banking).
· Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and group policies.
· Develop and implement financial controls and accounting procedures.
· Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
· Consolidate financial results with the Group’s headquarters and prepare management reports.
· Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly reconciled and recorded.
B. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
· Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the UAE offices.
· Conduct variance analysis against budgets and highlight risks or deviations.
· Develop financial models for project evaluation, business expansion, and new tenders.
· Support management with profitability analysis and performance KPIs by departme.
C. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
· Ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax) and other statutory requirements.
· Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
· Establish internal control frameworks to prevent fraud, errors, and financial risk.
· Oversee implementation of ERP and accounting systems.
D. Treasury & Banking
· Manage banking relationships and facilities in the UAE.
· Review applications, project guarantees, and financing requests.
· Optimize foreign currency management, fund transfers, and payments to supplie.
· Monitor and forecast cash needs for operations and capital expenditures.
E. Strategic & Operational Support
· Support the Managing Director in business planning and investment decisions.
· Participate in financial due diligence for new ventures, partnerships, or joint projects.
· Ensure accurate costing and pricing support for tenders and project bids.
· Provide financial dashboards and monthly performance reviews to management.
F. Team Management & Development
· Supervise finance and accounting staff in the Dubai offices.
· Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluation for junior finance members.
· Ensure strong coordination between Dubai Finance and GCC Finance departments.
3. Key Deliverables
· Monthly management accounts by the 10th of each month.
· Consolidated quarterly and annual reports in coordination with the Group CFO.
· Approved annual budget and updated rolling forecasts.
· VAT and Corporate Tax compliance filings on time.
· Cost control and efficiency improvement reports.
· Year-end audit completion with clean audit opinion.
· Financial performance dashboard (P&L by business line / project).
4. Qualifications & Experience
Requirement
Description
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
Minimum 8–12 years in finan, with at least 4 years in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager role.
Knowledge
IFRS, VAT & UAE Corporate Tax, financial modeling, and ERP systems.
Skills
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Excellent command of English (Arabic is preferred).

Integrity, attention to detail, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
5. Reporting Structure
•Direct Reporting: Group CFO / Regional MD – Company Groups
•Functional Reporting: Group Finance
•Subordinates: Accountants, Payables Officer, and Cashier (as applicable)
6. Working Conditions
•Location: Dubai, UAE
•Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
•Travel: Occasional travel to Iraq and other GCC locations as required.
•Contract Type: Full-time, renewable annually.

Position Details
· Salary Range: AED 25,000 – 30,000
· Work Location: Based with Management in Dubai
· Preferably: Arabic speaking
· Preferred Nationality: Jordanian or Lebanese
