Job Description

The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing and preparing accurate financial records and reports that reflect the company’s financial position. The role includes analyzing financial data, monitoring project costs, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. The position supports management by providing reliable financial information for decision-making within a construction and contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:•Record daily accounting entries in both quantity-based systems and accounting systems after obtaining the required approvals.•Prepare and submit tax declarations in accordance with applicable regulations.•Ensure consistency of prices and quantities between contracts, invoices, and project progress payments.•Calculate employee payroll and allocate salaries and costs to the correct cost centers.•Review financial claims submitted to project owners and issue invoices accordingly.•Prepare monthly trial balances and perform bank reconciliations.•Separate general administrative expenses from project-related costs.•Perform reconciliations for suppliers and customers.•Participate in preparing the annual budget for the head office and report any variances.•Coordinate with external auditors in preparing financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement.•Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.


Candidate Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.•Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting sector.•Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, and project accounting.•Proven experience in monthly closing, trial balance preparation, and bank reconciliations.•Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under deadlines.•Strong communication and coordination skills.
