Job Description:
INK Contracting is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Services Manager & Business Developer to take ownership of our new Technical Services division. This dual-role position will require a unique blend of business development skills to secure new projects, as well as the technical expertise to execute and manage the delivery of services. The individual will be responsible for driving the growth of our fit-out and construction maintenance services, including AC repairs, tiling, painting, fixture installations, and general building maintenance, while also executing hands-on work on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Growth: Identify new business opportunities within the technical services market (fit-out, construction maintenance, AC repair, etc.). Drive the growth of the division by acquiring new clients and securing contracts in commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Sales & Proposals: Develop tailored proposals, bids, and quotations for technical services, negotiating terms with clients to close deals and secure contracts.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their technical needs are met and providing excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Hands-On Execution: Perform hands-on technical work, including installation, repair, and maintenance of various building systems, such as air conditioning, tiling, painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and other fit-out services.
Project Management: Oversee the execution of technical services projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage resources and coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Site Visits & Assessments: Conduct site assessments, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions for any issues related to building systems and maintenance requirements.
Team Leadership & Support: Lead a small team of technicians, providing guidance, technical support, and ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
Market Research & Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities. Develop strategies for positioning the company’s technical services division as a market leader.
Reporting & Performance Tracking: Track business development metrics and provide regular updates to senior management on new business, project progress, and performance outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical services role, ideally within the fit-out, construction, or facilities management sectors. Proven experience in business development and securing new projects.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in building maintenance services, including but not limited to AC repairs, tiling, painting, electrical and plumbing work, and general construction.
Business Development Skills: Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
Problem-Solving & Project Management: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
Customer-Focused: Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on client satisfaction and maintaining long-term relationships.
Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians, providing both technical and operational support.
Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is required, as the role involves regular site visits and client meetings.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Additional Preferences:
Adaptability: Ability to switch between business development and technical tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards in both areas.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and secure favorable terms for both clients and the company.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations in construction and building maintenance to ensure all work complies with industry standards.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage both business development and technical responsibilities.
