Position Summary:
• The purpose of the role is to take overall responsibility for the management of the day to day maintenance and engineering function within the manufacturing operations related to all equipment’s and facilities. Also supervising and carrying out maintenance task in the field within our vending retail operations by being mobile.
Key Accountabilities:
• Receiving engineeri department requests from the manufacturing operations and retail vending operations, carrying out and delegating work required to the engineering supervisor and engineering team.
• Maintaining engineering requests documentation as per company procedures and prepare reports for the Weekly, Monthly and Annual Manufacturing and vending Management Meetings
• Compilation and maintenance of the PPM schedule to include:
All Manufacturing Equipment (processing, packing, labelling and detection)
All vending machines in the field
All Hygiene Entry and Cleaning Systems
Refrigeration Plant
Air Conditioning and Ventilation
Electrical Network
Plumbing Network
Gas Network
Compressors and Nitrogen Generators
Water Storage, Chillers and Filtration Plant
All Internal Fabric of the Building
All External Fabric of the Building, Grounds and Boundary
Offices and General Facilities
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Systems
• Assist in Engineering Training within the factory and in the field
• Take full responsibility for safety matters relating to the Engineering Function
• Take an active role in Equipment Acceptance trials, Off Site Training (possibly overseas), Installation, Commissioning, Handover and supplier training.
• Maintaining Warranty and Guarantee documentation within the department and the PPM schedule.
• Maintain and take responsibility for the security and documentation of all spare parts and engineering too.
• Take part in Customer Familiarity Visits to site
• Take part in Third Party Audits for accreditation purposes.
Key Tasks
• Carry Out all engineering and maintenance activities in a clean and sanitary condition according to GMP “Good Manufacturing Practices” as per technical Department and food safe guidelines.
• Carry out all engineering and maintenance activities related to the retail vending operations.
• Enforce Employee Hygiene and Safety measures according to the GMP guideline and Safety procedure as per technical Department and food safe guidelines
• Maintain personnel discipline to maintain a positive and healthy working environment according to the company policy and procedures
• Ensure engineering issues do not lead to a breakdown in the smooth production operation processes and a loss in productivity or vending sales.
• Submit a daily & monthly engineering and maintenance reports to the COO
• Report to the COO any issues pertaining to production that will help improve production efficiency and or reduce production down time.
• Report to the COO any issues pertaining to the retail vending operations that will help improve vending efficiency and or reduce vending machine down ti in sales.
• Manage and supervise the safe handling of tools and engineering materials at all stages when working in the production areas and in the field.
• Assuring that operators and workers comply with the safety regulations pertaining to the operation of manufacturing and vending equipment reporting any deviations to the COO.
• Ensure that you meet with the COO on a regular basis to discuss any issues
• Take a proactive approach in ensuring standards are met and maintained to comply with GMP guidelines set down by the Safe Food Standard and any other auditing body
• Attend to your duties at times specified by your line manager or dictated by work levels.
• Be available on a rotational basis with the other engineers in the team to ensure 24/7 maintenance cover for the retail vending operations
• Ensure that the current company systems and procedures are followed.
• Inform the COO of any holiday or leave requests that you may have.
• Agree to carry out any reasonable request by the COO
• Ensure you contribute to efficient rates of productivity within your areas.
• Continually review the operations in your area to determine opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
• Assist in ensuring that the departmental cost targets are met.
• To assist in disciplinary investigations as and when required.
• Ensure that engineering staff are deployed in order to manage the day to day requirements of the engineering function and out of hours cover is always available 24/7.

Academic:
High School Graduate - Essential
Recognized formal training in engineering (preferably electrical) - Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering - Preferred
Intermediate or Advanced HACCP Training - Preferred
Intermediate or Advanced Food Hygiene Training – Preferred
Health and Safety in the Workplace Training – Preferred
Related Experience:
Minimum 5 years previous experience as an engineer in food processing industries out of which 2 years in supervisory position. Ideally have experience programming and maintaining retail vending machines
Communication Skills:
English Speak / Read / Write - Essential
Arabic Speak / Read / Write - Preferred
Any other spoken languages (e.g. Hindi) would be an additional advantage

Computer Technical Skills
Fully Computer Literate – Essential
Knowledge of MS Suite windows applications, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet and Planned Preventative Maintenance planning software systems a distinct advantage
Additional Requirements
Ability to work extended hours and be on call for out of hours emergencies
Must hold or be able to hold a valid Saudi driving license
Age
Minimum 27 years of age.
