Responsibilities for food packer
Most of the work will be done in a large refrigerator (Will need warm clothing for the cold area)
Packing lunch kits for delivery
Prep food items as coordinated with weekly orders
Package each of the food items separately and into meal kits daily
Cold food prep- chopping, slicing, mincing of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs
Portion ingredients into individual food containers
Delicately pack weekly recipe ingredients into a standard shipping box
Label, construct, and organize packaged materials
Cleaning and general warehouse maintenance
Assisting with a local non-profit
Qualifications for food packer
Food Prep Packer jobs are entry level and do not require any previous experience
1 year of food prep preferred
Work experience in the BOH (back of house) in a fast-paced restaurant as a line co cook
Strong home cooks who have a desire to work in the organic food industry
Attention to detail, safety awareness, and quality control
