HEAD OF FINANCE
Job Overview: The Head of Finance plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management, and the ability to make informed decisions to support the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
•Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
•Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
•Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
•Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
•Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
•Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
•Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
•Oversee tax planning, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
•Manage the coordination and preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary doentation and explanations.
•Collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives, board members, and investors, to communicate financial performance and strategies.
•Evaluate financial aspects of potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships, providing recommendations.
•Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations and systems.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required) / Masters is preferred.
•CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is required.
•8+ years of progressive accounti experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.
•Proven experience in strategic financial planning, analysis, and team management.
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
