Job Description

About Role:
Head Waitstaff is responsible for overseeing the food and beverage services within the facility. The role holder is accountable for ensuring that all tasks related to food and beverage services are carried out proficiently and effectively. Head Waitstaff ensures the team adheres to the doented food and beverage process and procedures. The role holder is responsible for ensuring that guests have an excellent dining experience.

Qualification
-University Degree in Hospitality
-Food and Beverage Etiquette or related fields
-Certifications in Food Handling, Food Allergy Training, Allergen Awareness Certificates

Experience
At least 6 years of experience in the Food and Beverage Services department within hospitality or in related industry

Job Responsibilities:
-Allocate the table or the dining areas to the respective team members.
-Ensure all the work performed conforms to established work practices and safety requirements.
-Prepare a daily plan for the entire team and arrange all resources - materi in advance for scheduled activities and ensure the optimum utilization of the available resources, manpower, materials & logistical resources.
-Manage, assess, and adjust schedules and assignments to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Food and Beverage Service team in response to changing demand.
-Manage the Food and Beverage Order and collaborate with the kitchen for preparation.
-Perform daily inspections of Food and Beverage Services equipment to ensure the efficient functioning of this equipment.
-Coordinate with the specified engineering section to ensure timely completion of repair, replacement, and maintenance requests shared with engineering regarding the upkeep of the dining area or equipme of food and beverage services.
-Interact with the housekeeping department to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
-Resolve escalated complaints and requests of the guests promptly and professionally.
-Direct the modifications or improvements to the present process as per the instructions of the respective team lead.
-Prepare daily reports, equipment failure reports, incide reports, monthly reports, and sta appraisal reports.
-Provide details on activities and problems encountered and generate analysis reports.
-Maintain an optimum inventory of dinnerware and cutlery. Inspect dinnerware and cutlery inventory periodically for count and condition.
-Prepare annual lists of consumable materials and special tools or equipment after discussing with the reporting team lead, and coordinate the procurement of dinnerware, cutlery, etc, cost-effectively. Assist in receiving the new material through on-site inspection of the delivered material.
-Support the hiring of team members.
-List the training needs of the subordinates and ensure the training needs of subordinates are met. Ensure that all the Waitstaff, including contracto, know safe working practices and follow the doented work practices.
-Supervise all activities of the assigned team at the level established by the management for the position.
-Conduct related work such as issuance of 'Permits to Work’ and providing authorized 'safety overrides.’
-Perform special duties and projects as needed in support of organizational goals.

Desired Skill(s) & Competencies:
-Knowledge of food and beverage operations and related protocol.
-Working knowledge of MS Office package
-Strong team management skills.
-Good knowledge of English (both written & verbal) is essential for understanding technical manuals.
-Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and address issues promptly and efficiently.
-Hands-on field experience in Facilities Management is preferred.
-Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
