Job Description

Job Objective:
The housekeeping supervisor assigned inside the Palace must ensure that all the standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness is observed at all times. The worksite is a residence; thus the supervisor must be updated at all times with regards to the activities of the residents and cascades these information to the staff so that they can prepare their tasks or projects. As it is a residence, the housekeeping supervisor ensures that all arrangements, repairs and alterations should be referred to the Palace Manager for approval.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-English, Arabic, or Hindi speaking
-Must possess initiative or a sense of ownership
-Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in his work site.
-Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
-Will request for housekeeping supplies and equipment, conduct key control, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
-Oversee cleanliness of common areas including stairways, supply rooms, public & private laundries, and housekeeping office.
-Responsible for keeping team encouraged and motivated.
-Perform all other duties as required.
-Coordinates with Security, Maintenance, or Housekeeping External for work-related tasks.
-Assists the Waitresses, Nannies, and External Kitchen staff with regards to the Residents’ requests and activities
-Conducts trainings, toolbox talks, and demonstrations on the cleaning procedures and techniques that are applicable to the site.
-5* and 7* Hotel Experience in Housekeeping is a MUST

Experience:
-Must have had previous housekeeping experience preferably in a VIP residence, 5-star establishments or government agencies on an administrative or managerial level
-Must possess skills in the following areas:
-Administrative procedures
-Inventory keeping
-Chemical Competence
-Machine Handling
-Health and Safety Practices
-Computer literate with above average skills in any of the Microsoft Office programs
-Bedmaking
-Scheduling


Education:
-Must be a graduate in any of the following courses:
-Four-year college course,
-Two-years Diploma Course, or
-Any Hospitality, HSE, or Housekeeping related short courses
