Job Overview:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources department and ensuring alignment with the organization’s business objectives. This role involves developing HR strategies, implementing policies, supporting employee development, and managing the recruitment process. The HR Manager will also work closely with leadership to ensure compliance with labour laws and maintain a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement, retention, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and other hiring sources.
Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires receive all necessary training, information, and support to succeed in their roles.
Employee Relations and Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, issues, and feedback.
Foster a positive workplace culture and resolve any conflicts that may arise between employees and management.
Develop employee engagement initiatives and programs to enhance satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
Performance Management:

Implement and oversee the performance management process, including performance appraisals, feedback, and goal setting.
Provide support to managers on employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, and development plans.
Work with leadership to ensure employees’ development aligns with organizational goals.
Compliance and Labor Laws:

Ensure the company’s HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
Keep up-to-date with changes in labor law and industry best practices, adjusting policies and practices as needed.
Maintain all employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:

Oversee the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
Conduct market research to ensure the organization’s compensation packages are competitive.
Provide guidance to employees on benefits, leave policies, and payroll matters.
Training and Development:

Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and foster career growth.
Develop succession plans for key roles within the organization and identify high-potential employees for leadership development.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
HR Policies and Procedures:

Create and update HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
Communicate policy changes to employees and ensure understanding of HR-related guidelines and expectations.
HR Metrics and Reporting:

Develop and track HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives (e.g., turnover rates, retention, training effectiveness).
Report on HR activities and issues to senior management and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Workplace Health and Safety:

Ensure the workplace adheres to all health and safety regulations.
Develop programs to promote employee well-being and safety, including wellness initiatives, training, and policies.
Employee Recognition and Retention:

Develop and manage employee recognition programs to reward and acknowledge employees' contributions.
Identify key factors affecting employee retention and develop strategies to minimize turnover.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), MS Office, and other relevant HR software.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with employee wellness programs or initiatives.
Knowledge of payroll management and benefits administration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage change effectively.
