• Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Familiar with description (specification, unit of quantity, application) of material in order to provide the right materials requisitioned.
• Receive, inspect and store goods using forklift trucks and other loading equipment, to ensure they are the correct items as ordered and they are stored in the allocated areas.
• Enter receipts onto the record-keeping system to maintain inventory control and to alert accounts payable that goods have arrived as ordered.
• Retrieve and prepare goods for shipment according to the picking list provided to ensure the correct items are dispatched to customers or issued to in-house staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse to provide an efficient service to customers.
• Familiar with versed with location of material in order to locate and issue the requisitioned material in time and of the right quantity.
• Issue materials as per approved procedures to ensure materials issued are as per requisitions received and delivery is made to authorized personnel.
• Implement and maintain a filing system that ensures Goods Issues and other documents are preserved and easily retrievable.
• Follow procedures for entering and deleting goods from the system to maintain accurate inventory control.
• Coordinate and participate in scheduled stock counts.
• Upholds and maintains levels of service that ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction are met.
• Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safe safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of produ quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
