Job Title: Light Driver
Job Summary: As a Light Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods a passengers from one location to another using light vehicles such as cars, vans, or small trucks. Your duties will include following traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Safely operate a light vehicle to transport goods a passengers to their destinations.
2.Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
3.Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working condition by performing regular inspections and basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil, water, and tire pressure.
4.Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
5.Plan and follow the most efficient routes for transportation to minimize fuel consumption and time spent on the road.
6.Assist with loading and unloading goods if required.
7.Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients as necessary.
8.Maintain accurate records of mileage, trips, and vehicle maintenance.
9.Report any accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle issues to the appropriate authorities and supervisors.
10.Provide excellent customer service to passengers and clients, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey.
Requirements:
1.Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated (e.g., car, van, or light truck license).
2.Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
3.Previous experience as a driver preferred but not required.
4.Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
5.Good communication skills.
6.Ability to follow directions and adhere to schedules.
7.Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
8.Physical ability to load and unload goods if necessary.
9.Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays if needed.
10.High school diploma or equivalent.
