Alshariya Cargo & Logistics LLC is seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our team as Loading and Unloading Staff. As part of the logistics operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo from trucks, containers, and other transportation vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Follow loading and unloading instructions provided by the supervisors or team leaders.
Verify and count the quantity of incoming and outgoing cargo to ensure accuracy.
Inspect cargo for any damages, defects, or discrepancies during loading and unloading.
Properly handle fragile, hazardous, or sensitive goods to prevent damage or accidents.
Securely strap, stack, and arrange cargo to optimize space utilization and ensure stability during transportation.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment for efficient cargo movement.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory management and tracking.
Assist in general warehouse tasks, such as sorting, labeling, and organizing inventory.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding quality control and cargo handling standards.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the loading and unloading areas.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Previous experience in loading and unloading or a similar role is an advantage.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle packages of varying weights and sizes.
Familiarity with proper lifting and carrying techniques to prevent injuries.
Basic knowledge of cargo handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Knowledge of safety practices and the ability to adhere to safety regulations.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
Valid UAE driver's license is preferred.
