~ About the Role ~
We are looking for a hands-on marketplace operator who can help us build a profitable Noon & Amazon.ae business from scratch.
A.You will be responsible for:
•Finding winning products for the UAE market
•Sourcing reliable suppliers at competitive price-per-quantity
•Listing and optimizing products on Noon (priority) and Amazon.ae
•Setting smart pricing and, later, supporting basic advertising
B.This role is ideal for someone who thinks like a mini-owner: you care about profit, not just tasks.
~ What You Will Do ~
1. Product Research & Validation (Hero Product Strategy)
•Research and identify high-demand, low-competition products suitable for the UAE market
•Focus on few products with:
a)Low selling price
b)High profit margin for the business
c)Long-term demand (not just trendy for 2 weeks)
•Analyze:
a)Marketplace fees (Noon, Amazon.ae)
b)Landed cost per unit
c)Target selling price and expected profit per unit
•Prepare simple reports for each product:
a)Estimated demand
b)Competitors
c)Expected monthly sales
d)Profit scenario after all costs
2. Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation
•Find and contact supplie (UAE-focused, plus global when needed)
•Request quotations with:
a)Price per quantity tier
b)MOQs
c)Delivery timelines
•Negotiate to secure best price-per-quantity while maintaining quality
•Build and maintain a supplier database with:
a)Product lists
b)Prices
c)Contact details
d)Reliability / performance notes
3. Noon & Amazon.ae Listing & Optimization
•Create and optimize product listings on:
a)Noon (UAE) – main focus
b)Amazon.ae – secondary
•Tasks include:
a)Titles, bullet points, descriptions
b)Keywords (basic SEO for marketplaces)
c)Image requirements (coordinating with design if needed)
•Set pricing and promo strategy aligned with:
a)Market prices
b)Our required margins
•Monitor:
a)Sales
b)Returns
c)Reviews
and suggest improvements to increase conversion.
4. Growth & Performance
•Start with organic growth only (no ads at the beginning)
•Once products prove themselves, support the team to:
•Plan and manage basic ads / PPC on platforms
•Track and report:
a)Sales per product
b)Profit per product
c)Best sellers vs underperformers
~ What Success Looks Like (Example KPIs) ~
You can tune the numbers, but structure-wise:
A.Within first 90 days:
•Identify and validate 3–5 hero product opportunities
•Launch at least 2–3 products on Noon UAE
B.Within 6 months:
•Achieve consistent monthly profit from these marketplace channels
•Maintain or improve target profit margin per product
•Build a stable supplier base with better pricing than initial quotes
~ Compensation ~
A.Base Salary:
•To be announced / based on experience & results
(Final package will be aligned with candidate’s skills, track record, and contribution potential.)
B.Performance Bonus:
•Additional bonuses based on net profit generated from products you manage
•Clear, transparent structure (e.g. % of net profit above agreed threshold)
C.Growth Path:
•Strong performers can grow into Marketplace Growth Lead / Category Lead
•More responsibility, higher base, and higher bonus potential
~ What We Expect From You ~
A.Must-Have:
•Experience (even 6–24 months) in e-commerce / marketplaces such as:
a)Noon
b)Amazon.ae
c)Or similar platforms
•Basic understanding of:
a)Marketplace fees and commissions
b)Profit calculation (buy cost, fees, shipping, selling price)
•Comfortable with:
a)Researching products online
b)Comparing multiple suppliers and quotes
c)Using spreadsheets or simple tools for calculations
B.Nice-to-Have:
•Experience specifically with Noon Express or Amazon F
•Familiarity with UAE consumer behavior
•Arabic language for dealing with local suppliers (plus, not mandatory)
•Any experience with social selling (TikTok / Instagram / WhatsApp) is a bonus
C.Personality & Work Style:
•Thinks like a mini-owner: cares about profit, not clock-
•Comfortable starting from low infrastructure and building systems
•Data-minded: doesn’t just say “this looks nice”, but checks numbers
•Willing to work full-time in a hybrid setup (remote + office when needed)
