KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-
-Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work.
-Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces.
-Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings.
-Determines work requirements and sequence of mason assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings.
-Lays out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels.
-Mixes cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, a hand tools.
-Cuts or breaks bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, a hand tools.
-Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
-Operates equipment, such as forklift, dump truck, and flatbed.
-Estimates materials and labor.
-Accomplish building job assigned following proper building procedure and masonry technique despite demands and changes in client wishes.
-Normal problem related to excessive measuring & cutting blocks, carrying heavy blocks and rework.
-Normal problem associated with leading helper.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
-Must have a diploma or certificate in Civil study or training.
-Must have a minimum of Five (5) years’ extensive experience as mason or related work in masonry from a reputable company.
-Must have deep understanding and knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment and materials.
-Must have skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces.
-Must be knowledgeable in reading and following blueprints, plans or drawings.
-Must have good interpersonal skills and can work well in a team.
-Must have good English communication skill.
-Age between 30-40 years.
