Job Description

Melodica are seeking a qualified and experienced Music Teacher with expertise in violin, piano, saxophone, and guitar to join our team. As a dedicated teacher, you will have the opportunity to nurture students' musical talents and guide them in their musical journey. We are open to considering newly graduates who have gained teaching experience. However, possessing a Bachelor of Music or any relevant certification is a prerequisite for qualifying as an eligible candidate.

Responsibilities:

Deliver private a group music lessons to students of diverse ages and skill levels in violin, piano, saxophone, and guitar.

Develop customized lesson plans that cater to each student's individual goals, abilities, and musical interests.

Provide comprehensive instruction in instrument-specific techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills.
Select a diverse range of repertoire to expose students to various genres and styles relevant to their chosen instrument.

Assist students in establishing a solid foundation in music fundamentals and developing effective practice habits.

Prepare students for performances, recitals, examinations, and auditions, tailoring the curriculum to meet their specific goals.

Assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and establish achievable milestones for continuous improvement.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and a deep appreciation for music.

Collaborate with parents, fellow teachers, and school administrators to support students' musical development.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Music or any relevant certification is mandatory to be considered qualified for this role.

A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience is required to be considered experienced, although newly graduates with relevant experience will also be considered.

Proficiency in playing and teaching violin, piano, saxophone, and guitar.

Proven track record of teaching multiple instruments to students of diverse ages and skill levels.

Strong technical skills, deep understanding of music theory, and ability to effectively communicate musical concepts.

Patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style to accommodate individual learning needs.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students and parents.

Organizational skills to manage lesson schedules, assignments, and student progress effectively.

Passion for music and a commitment to nurturing students' musical abilities.
Additional Information:

Knowledge of other instruments or additional qualifications (e.g., certifications, degrees) are advantageous but not required.
Experience in preparing students for music examinations, competitions, or auditions is a plus.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate students' schedules.
