As a Packing Helper, you will assist in the packaging and preparation of products for shipment in an efficient and organized manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and the physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the packaging and labeling of products according to company standards and customer requirements
- Follow instructions provided by the packing supervisor to ensure accuracy and quality control
- Prepare shipping boxes, containers, and pallets for product shipment
- Process orders by picking and packing items accurately and efficiently
- Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized packaging area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Use packing tools and equipment such as tape dispensers, weighing scales, and handheld scanners
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the packing supervisor or management
- Adhere to proper lifting techniques and safety guidelines to prevent injuries
- Assist with loading and unloading of shipments as necessary
- Follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a packing or warehouse environment is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
- Basic computer skills for using inventory management systems or handheld scanners
- Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, or overtime as needed
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in forklift operation or other relevant equipment handling
- Experience in using inventory management or warehouse software
