We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packing Helper to join our team and assist in the packaging and shipment of our products. The Packing Helper will be responsible for organizing and preparing items for shipping, verifying orders, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in packaging products according to specific instructions and guidelines.
- Prepare orders for shipment by carefully sorting, labeling, and organizing items.
- Inspect and verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing orders to ensure they match the provided doentation.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated storage areas in the warehouse.
- Prepare shipping labels, invoices, and other necessary doentation for each order.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments, ensuring they are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that packing materials and supplies are properly stocked.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily packaging and shipping targets.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other general warehouse tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a packing helper or in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify and inspect orders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for order tracking and doentation.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with common packing materials and methods preferred.
