Role Overview:
We are hiring a highly skilled and creative chef to lead the development, preparation, and execution of our food truck menu. This role involves kitchen leadership, consistency in product quality, and maintaining operational standards during service. The chef must be hands-on, fast-paced, clean, and passionate about flavor and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine a signature food truck menu with strong customer appeal
Handle day-to-day cooking, prep, mise-en-place, and food service
Manage kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and daily ordering
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with UAE food safety standards
Control portioning, wastage, and cost per dish
Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality
Train and supervise junior kitchen assistants (if any)
Optimize service time during peak hours
Maintain supplier relationships and sourcing of key ingredients
Assist in menu costing and price setting
Support seasonal menu changes and specials
Represent the culinary identity of the brand
Requirements & Experience:
Proven experience as a Chef or Sous-Chef preferably in:
street food
fusion cuisine
Pakistani / Indian / Afghani / Arabic dishes
casual service kitchens
Strong sense of flavor development and menu creation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with UAE food safety standards
Ability to work in compact kitchen spaces (food truck environment)
Fast and efficient cooking ability during rush hours
Good communication and cooperative personality
