Objectives of this Role
Deliver outstanding customer service to pet owners by executing style requests, communicating clearly and honestly, and bringing a positive attitude to work daily.
Provide exemplary cosmetic care for pets, being gentle and patient with anxious and difficult animals
Protect the best interests of our customers and their pets, notifying owners of any concerns, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas
Help our organization continue to grow by forming fruitful relationships with customers that result in repeat visits.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning it
Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner's preferences
Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
Keep a clean workstation by sanitizing and sweeping before the arrival of each new client and at the end of each workday
Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
Skills and Qualifications
Comfortable working with animals, including anxious ones
Ability to stand for at least two hours and lift heavy animals over 25 kgs
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques on the job
Practised verbal communication skills
Good attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for animals
Prior grooming experience
Experience working with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity
Professional certification (such as from the National Dog Groomers Association of America)
Experience working in a customer service-oriented role
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive + Commission Yearly flights and health insurance offered
Grooming Experience 3 years (Preferred)
Salary: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
COVID-19 considerations: All staff must be vaccinated
The location of the pet grooming store is at Al Sufouh 1
Dematting and detangling hair as required.
Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets.
Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have.
Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.
Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
Routinely cleaning work areas.
Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
