Responsibilities
The role of technical sales engineers essentially involves translating and explaining highly complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems
Advising customers on how best to use the products or services provided.
Collaborating with the design, production, engineering, or research and development departments of the company to determine how products and services could be made or modified to suit the needs of the customer.
Selling and consulting on technologically and scientifically advanced products.
Using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of the product or service and how it may suit the customer better than competing products.

Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.
Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
Develops customer’s staff by providing technical information and training.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and anticipating future legislation.
Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Identifies sales opportunities by analyzing and summarizing information and trends related to the competition
Develops new accounts by researching and identifying potential leads, soliciting new business, building connections, providing technical information and advice, and preparing quotes
Uses telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries to verify collected information and finalize sales
Transfers orders to fulfillment to be filled. Communicates expected dates of delivery and explains stock shortages
Drives continued sales by checking customer purchasing history, suggesting new and related products, and explaining technical features
Maintains communication equipment by reporting and tracking problems, and participating in troubleshooting procedures
Supports the delivery of quality results by following company rules and guidelines, and offering recommendations for policy and procedure improvements
Keeps product knowledge up to date by studying item descriptions and participating in ongoing training
Accepts ownership for maintaining and expanding sales and accomplishing all assigned tasks

A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others;
Good in making Free hand sketching of the Concept Designs.
Good Knowledge about the Product Manufacturing and Material Selection
Concept making from scratch.
Ability to perform Rapid Prototyping, 3D Modelling, Product Animations and Simulations.
SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE:
3D Modelling Software: Alias, Rhinoceros 3D, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion 360, Inventor.
2D Sketching Software: Sketchbook Pro, SketchUp, AutoCAD.
Graphic Design Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MAYA, Blender.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Bachelors in design or masters in industrial / product design from design institutes.
