Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the fabrication operations in our Shipyard Fabrication Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the shipbuilding or fabrication industry. This role involves managing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and leading a team of skilled workers.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervision: Lead and supervise the fabrication team, ensuring all production activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
•Production Management: Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily production tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
•Quality Control: Ensure that all fabricated components meet quality specifications and industry standards through regular inspections and testing.
•Training and Development: Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
•Resource Management: Monitor the utilization of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimizing waste.
•Problem Solving: Identify production issues and implement effective solutions to maintain workflow and productivity.
•Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and best practices, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
•Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and communication.
•Reporting: Prepare and present production reports to management, detailing progress, challenges, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred.
•Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the shipbuilding or fabrication industry.
•Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and equipment used in shipbuilding.
•Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams effectively and fostering a collaborative work environment.
