Primary responsibility is to support the Customer Relationship Team in the efficient procurement of all material and equipment to the correct standard and at the lowest cost.
The role will involve supplier research, monitoring and ensuring production and delivery of required items a services and working closely with a number of internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Customer Relationship Team).
**Responsibilities**
• Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs
• Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency
• Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
• Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Prepare cost analyses
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
**Requirements**
• Previous experience of purchasing, procurement & logistics activity in Middle East
• Ability to quickly develop professional and trusted relationships with a variety of cultures and clients.
• High level of self-motivation and the ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, often in high-pressure situations.
• Strong team player who can communicate effectively with both technical and commercial team-members.
• IT literacy - MS Word, Excel
