Roles & responsibilities
*Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers
*Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts
*Analyze purchase requisitions from departments
*Plan purchasing schedules based on demand and budget
*Forecast material requirements
*Ensure timely availability of materials and services
*Compare prices and negotiate best value
*Control procurement costs within approved budgets
*Identify cost-saving opportunities
*Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs)
*Ensure accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery terms
*Track and follow up on orders
*Resolve discrepancies in orders or invoices
*Maintain accurate procurement records
*Ensure compliance with company policies
*Monitor market trends affecting pricing and availability
*Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
*Professional certification (e.g., procureme chain certification) is an added advantage
*2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
*Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management
*Industry-specific procurement experience preferred
*Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles
*Ability to prepare and analyze purchase orders, quotations, and contracts
*Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
*Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
*Understanding of inventory control and cost analysis
*Knowledge of local and international sourcing
*Understanding of impo procedures
*Strong market research capability
*High level of integrity and ethical standards
*Ability to work under pressure
*Team player with cross-functional collaboration skills
*Proactive and result-oriented mindset
