Fulltime position - QA QC Engineer in QATAR with client
Technical skills:
•Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., API Q2, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, industry
standards).
•Understanding of inspection and testing methods relevant to the field
•Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, data sheets, and technical manuals.
•Experience preparing and using ITPs, checklists, method statements, and quality plans.
•Competence in corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and risk based thinking.
•Hands on experience with visual and dimensional inspection of valves and actuators (body, bonnet, flange faces,
stem, packing, internals, positioners, accessories).
•Competence in pressure testing: shell, seat, backseat, set pressure testing for safety valves, and leak classification
as per A acceptance criteria.
•Strong doent control and record keeping (test reports, certificates, NCRs, MDRs/ dossiers).
•Ability to develop and update procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Requirements
•Qualification - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Should be locally available in QATAR with NOC
•A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar capacity is required.
Description
•Implement and maintain the department’s quality procedures, ITPs and checklists for valve overhaul, assembly, testing and calibration.
•Review work orders, datasheets, P&IDs and client specifications to define inspection and test requirements for each job.
•Carry out incoming, in process and final inspection of valves and actuators (visual, dimensional, functional).
•Ensure traceability of materials, components, serial numbers, certificates (MTC, COC, TPI reports) and maintain complete
job dossiers.
•Raise, investigate and close non conformances; perform root cause analysis and define correcti actions for
val failures.
•Coordinate with production, service, planning and third par inspectors for inspections, F, punch list
clearance and final acceptance.
•Support calibration control for gauges, pressure recorders, test benches and torque tools used in valve testing.
•Contribute to continual improvement of procedures, test methods, doentation and workshop layout in line with ISO
9001 / 14001 / 45001 and customer feedback.
•Promote safe working practices during pressure testing, lifting, chemical cleaning and actuator handling, in line with HSE
Requirements
