The Quantities Survey Engineer provides cost support for the various design and construction projects, monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations for assigned projects, and monitors ris and helps develop options to resolve. The Quantities Survey Engineer is responsible to support the reviews, preparation, and assessment of cost estimates and invoices provided by consultants and contractors. When necessary, performs cost estimates and BOQs as an independent check. Assists in preparation of the monthly cost reports.
Demonstrate skills to implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution study.
Must have ability to utilize computer technology to analyze data, maintain records, analyze financial data and generate reports.
Track financial aspects of the project. Develop, maintain contract documents, payment certifications, variation orders. Review performance, advance payment bonds, advise client on compliance with contract.
Attend, participate in start-up, site, progress or other meetings, as required or requested. Provide cost reports to client on monthly basis (estimated final accounts, cost effects of claims, variation orders, etc.).
Develops, implements and maintains cost control, a provides centralized planning and scheduling function. Develops and maintains the cost control portion to provide project management, as well as the department and company management, with the necessary tools for project cost control.
Prepare and develop estimation of quantities on design projects and preparation of tender documents. Prepare and develop preliminary cost plan. Maintain and develop cost plan and prepare periodic reports and updated cash flow forecasts. Developing monthly cash flow statements. Maintaining rate data base for various Bill of Quantities items.
May participate in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments.
