Job Description

Job Summary:
The Resort Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the resort, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple departments and staff. The Operations Manager will work closely with department heads to ensure smooth operations and high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Management:
oOversee the day-to-day operations of the resort, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
oEnsure all departments operate efficiently and effectively, meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
2.Guest Experience:
oDevelop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
oAddress and resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive resort reputation.
oMonitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
3.Staff Management:
oRecruit, train, and manage department heads and staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
oConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.
oEnsure staff adhere to resort policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of service.
4.Financial Management:
oDevelop and manage the resort’s operational budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
oImplement revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
oAnalyze financial reports and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
5.Quality Control:
oMaintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance throughout the resort.
oConduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
oImplement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
6.Health & Safety:
oEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
oDevelop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
oConduct regular training for staff on health and safety practices.
7.Collaboration & Communication:
oWork closely with the General Manager and other senior leaders to align operational strategies with the resort’s goals.
oCommunicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless operations.
oFoster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local community partners.
8.Event Management:
oOversee the planning and execution of events, conferences, and special occasions hosted at the resort.
oCoordinate with clients and event planners to ensure successful and memorable events.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.
•Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar.
•Knowledge of local regulations and market trends in the hospitality industry.
