Job Purpose:
The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for the full sales and merchandising cycle—from picking up products at the warehouse to delivering, displaying, and promoting them at client locations. This includes achieving sales targets, maintaining excellent relationships with store managers and clients, ensuring visibility and availability of products, and keeping accurate records both digitally and manually.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Operations
Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs as set by management.
Generate Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and client invoices.
Follow up on orders, reorders, and client requests.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
Support upselling and introduce new products and promotions.
2. Product Delivery & Handling
Collect products from the warehouse and sign off for quantities.
Deliver products to clients using the company vehicle in a timely and professional manner.
Handle goods safely and ensure proper doentation is signed upon delivery.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and used solely for work purposes.
3. Merchandising
Organize and maintain in-store product displays according to company standards.
Ensure shelves are clean, stocked, and products are correctly priced and labeled.
Set up promotional displays and materials as required.
Monitor and report on competitor activity and stock issues.
4. Reporting & Doentation
Record daily activities, deliveries, and client interactions in both:
Company digital system
Manual notebook for backup and reference
Submit daily reports on deliveries, sales performance, feedback, and market activity.
Coordinate with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams.
Requirements:
High school diploma or above (Diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing is a plus).
Minimum 1–2 years experience in merchandising a sales (FMCG preferred).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
Basic knowledge of inventory and sales systems.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Physically fit and able to lift, stock, and set up product displays.
