Job Description

A School Receptionist is the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role involves managing front-desk operations, handling communication, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily functioning of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Greet students, parents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Answer and route phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.

Manage visitor sign-in procedures and ensure school security policies are followed.

Handle student attendance records, late slips, and early dismissals.

Assist with preparing and distributing school communications, letters, and notices.

Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming.

Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings for staff.

Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and doent preparation.

Assist with student registration, admissions doentation, and record management.

Coordinate deliveries, mail distribution, and office supplies.

Provide general support to school leadership, teachers, and administrative staff.


Candidate Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (school experience is an advantage).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Proficiency in office software (MS Word, Excel, email systems).

Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Professional, calm, and patient demeanor—especially when interacting with students and parents.

High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
