Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly-motivated and professional Security Guard to join our team. The role of the Security Guard is to provide a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to ensure that security policies and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and control access to the premises
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to detect and prevent security breaches
- Investigate and report any suspicious activity or security violations
- Enforce security policies and procedures such as wearing identification badges and conducting bag checks
- Respond to emergencies such as alarms and threats to safety
- Assist in evacuating the premises in the event of an emergency
- Complete daily logs and incident reports as required
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement
- Knowledge of security procedures and protocol
- Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
- Physical fitness to be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- Valid security licen is a plus
