We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring CCTV cameras, conducting patrols, and implementing security procedures. The ideal candidate should have strong observation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate security systems and equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect any unauthorized activities or security breaches.
- Manage access control by verifying identification, conducting searches, and issuing visitor passes as required.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of occupants.
- Monitor and control the flow of people and vehicles entering or exiting the premises.
- Provide a visible presence and act as a deterrent to prevent unlawful activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities, disturbances, or security concerns to the supervisor or appropriate law enforcement agencies.
- Collaborate with other security personnel or external stakeholders to maintain a coordinated approach to security operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other security-related doentation.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities, taking preventive measures to address them.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, addressing inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate individuals or locations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a security guard or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Knowledge of security procedures and protocols is preferred.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Proficient in using security equipment and systems, including CCTV cameras and access control devices.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and incident doentation.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
