Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for quilting and crafting, coupled with strong leadership skills and a customer-centric approach. As the Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and fostering a positive work environment
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and maintaining a tidy and welcoming store environment.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and organizing products to ensure optimal stock levels and assortment.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of 8-9 employees to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Build strong relationships with customers, offering personalized assistance, product recommendations, and expert advice.
Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and techniques to effectively advise customers and enhance the shopping experience.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate with the owner and other stakeholders to develop marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to attract new customers and engage the quilting community.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a quilting or crafting environment.
Passion for quilting and a strong understanding of quilting fabrics, tools, and techniques would be appreciated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
