Creating a design (either by adapting an existing pattern or developing a new design)
Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
1. Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
2. Experience in tailoring garments to fit a specific individual or group of individuals
3. Strong sewing skills with attention to detail
4. Excellent problem solving ability and judgment when working with different types of fabric and clothing pieces
5. Ability to work quickly under pressure
