Key Responsibilities:
Operate a taxi vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and regulations.
Provide courteous and professional service to passengers, assisting with their entry and exit from the vehicle as needed.
Maintain a clean and well-maintained taxi both inside and out.
Adhere to a set schedule or respond to passenger requests for immediate service.
Keep accurate records of trips, fares, and passenger details.
Handle passenger payments, provide change, and issue receipts.
Respond to radio or phone dispatches, as well as passenger hails, in a prompt and courteous manner.
Help passengers load and unload luggage or other items.
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes as necessary to reach destinations on time.
Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues to the company's dispatcher or supervisor.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Knowledge of local roads, routes, and landmarks.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Physical fitness and the ability to assist passengers as needed.
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems is a plus.
A professional appearance and demeanor.
