Travel Agent
We are looking for a Travel Agent, who is passionate about traveling. One who will manage travel requirements made for business or holiday and will provide tourism related services and package tours on behalf of our suppliers. The goal is to keep our clients satisfied and loyal for future services.
Travel Agent Job Responsibilities:
• Sells and coordinates transportation, accommodations, insurance, tours and activities.
• Advises clients regarding destinations, cultures, customs, weather and activities.
• Collects payments, books travel arrangements and pays applicable fees.
• Handles travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancelations and refunds.
• Builds and maintains relationships with travel and tour vendors.
• Attends travel seminars and conferences.
• Maintains accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.
• Conducts market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
• Generates Leads from corporate accounts and travel agencies for an online B2B booking engine
• Actively seeks out new sales opportunities; Identify new potential customers, Set up ideal prospecting strategies.
• To secure contracts with Tourism Companies and Agencies and Suppliers
• Submits regular sales reports and updates
• Sells our leisure activities online and B2B
• Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation
• Effectively maintains and retains existing customers by building long-term relationships.
• Act as a link between your customer and the internal teams.
• Promotes the company's products to existing customers and attract new customers
• Participates in preparing the sales plan with the Business developer.
• Conducts Sales visits, solution demonstrations and presentations
• Sets up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns
• Builds long-term relationships with existing, as well as, new clients.
• Maximizes outside sales development through proactive activities
• Completes sales report to track and account for all sales activities
• Reaches monthly sales target
• Reviews sales performance
• Negotiates contracts and packages

Travel Agent Qualifications/Skills:
• Strong sales and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to negotiate effectively
• Excellent knowledge of computer reservation computer programs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
• Working knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
• Ability to speak languages in addition to English preferred
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or related field
• Up to date on applicable state licensing or registration requirements
• Experience working as a travel agent
