Skyland, based in Dubai’s Media City, leads in 3D space simulation and social gaming.
We’re seeking motivated Unreal Engine Interns to join our team and gain hands-on experience in immersive technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement gameplay mechanics, interactive systems, and AI behaviors using Unreal Engine 5 and C++.
2. Collaborate with designers and developers to integrate assets and optimize game performance.
3. Support AI navigation systems, multiplayer basics, and open-world functionalities.
4. Assist in debugging, testing, and refining gameplay systems.
Technical Skills:
1. Strong proficiency in C++ programming is mandatory
2. Solid understanding of loops, functions, pointers, templates, and memory management
3. Knowledge of data structures and their effective use in game development
4. Familiarity with Unreal Engine or similar game engines
Qualifications:
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field
2. Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-organized C++ code
3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
4. Willingness to learn new technologies and tools in game development
5. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with Unreal Engine, particularly in C++ development within the Unreal environment
2. Previous projects or coursework in game development
3. Basic understanding of gameplay mechanics, AI, or physics in game development
