1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
2. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
3. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
4. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
5. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
6. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
7. Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
8. Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
9. Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
10. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
11. Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
12. Installation of Joints and Terminations for power cables from 0.4 KV up to 33kv. Certifications and approval from GCC countries is an advantage.
13. Ability to study and read all kind of electrical and control drawin.
1. Two-year Electrical, Technical, or related degree.
2. At least 4 - 5 years' experience as an Electrical Technician.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Experience operating hand and power tools, and fault-testing equipment.
5. Experience on installation and commissioning of power, distribution transformers, LV, MV switchgears and VFD panels.
6. Thorough Knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shift and overnight
