A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing wooden structures and fixtures according to project specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical plans.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, MDF, and other materials.
Install cabinets, doors, frames, partitions, panels, and other wooden fixtures.
Perform finishing work such as sanding, varnishing, painting, and polishing.
Repair and maintain existing wooden structures and furniture.
Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignment during installation.
Operate carpentry tools such as saws, drills, planers, sanders, and routers safely.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects on time.
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a Carpenter (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
