Job Summary:
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the procurement process for engineering materials,
equipment, and services. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that all
procurement activities align with the company's objectives, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to secure the best possible deals.
• Procurement Planning: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to
understand procurement needs and develop strategies to fulfil them.
• Cost Analysis: Analyse market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions. Prepare
cost estimates and budgets for procurement projects.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials and equipment meet the required specifications and
quality standards. Coordinate quality inspections and assessments as needed.
• Doentation: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including contracts,
purchase orders, and supplier communications.
In depth knowledge on purchase doentations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment processes to
avoid delays in projects.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards
throughout the procurement process.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost
savings for management review.
• Logistics: Basic knowledge in logistics operations and doentation is mandatory.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering, or a related
field.
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in
an engineering or manufacturing environment in UAE.
• Skills:
o Strong negotiation and communication skills.
o Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Knowledge of engineering materials and specifications.
o Self-learning and proactiveness.
o Contracts preparation and management
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified
Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)) are a plus.
Working Conditions:
• May require occasional travel to supplier sites or manufacturing locations within UAE.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Should be able to handle multiple tasks on priority base.
