A Facilities Engineer is a professional responsible for the management, maintenance, and improvement of facilities and infrastructure within an organization. This role often encompasses a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
### Key Responsibilities:
1. **Maintenance Management**:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
2. **Project Management**:
- Plan and manage facility projects, such as renovations, expansions, and maintenance
3. **Budgeting and Cost Control**:
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor expenditures and recommend adjustments as necessary.
4. **Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, environmental laws, and safety standards.
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular safety inspections.
5. **Energy Management**:
- Monitor and manage energy usage within facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement sustainability initiatives, such as reducing waste and promoting recycling.
6. **Technical Support**:
- Provide technical support and guidance on facility operations and infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related problems.
7. **Doentation and Reporting**:

### Skills and Qualifications:
- **Education**: Typically requires a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial), facilities management, or a related field.

- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in CAD software, building management systems, and knowledge of relevant engineering principles and practices.
